USCIS Introduces Joint EAD/AP Card February 15, 2011—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the creation of a new employment authorization card (EAD) which will also serve as an advance parole travel permit (AP). This new card is available for individuals who concurrently file an I-765 application for an EAD and an AP application with I-485 adjustment green card application. The new cards are issued in one or two-year increments and looks identical to the current cards with with a new annotation stating “Serves as I-512 Advance Parole.” The new card will continue to serve as a valid List A document for I-9 purposes. |
