Guangzhou Port to Close November 23, 2011— The Guangzhou Xinfeng Port in China will stop operations on December 31, 2011. No formal announcement or notice from the government has been released, but many shipping companies have already received this information and have informed customers to stop sending shipments to Guangzhou Xinfeng Port. Shipments that are on their way or under customs clearance from now until December 31 may be transferred to an alternative port. Those decisions will be made on a case by case basis. |
